pilatus pc-7 turbo trainer
The Pilatus PC-7 Turbo Trainer is a two-seater turboprop aircraft with retractable landing gear designed for military and civilian flight training. The two cockpits, arranged one behind the other, are equipped with flight and navigation instruments that allow advanced instrument flight training.
In 2008 and 2009, the Swiss Air Force’s 27 Pilatus PC-7s were modernized. The most striking changes are the new livery in the Swiss national colors of red and white, the modern glass cockpit, the GPS and the autopilot. This means that the PC-7 is also certified for civil flights under instrument flight rules.
In the Swiss Air Force, the PC-7 is used in basic training, for the selection of new military pilots, for liaison flights and, of course, for the PC-7 TEAM’s demonstrations.
